Accessibility

We sell a product that validates the accessibility of other people's forms, so the bar for our own interface is not a low one.

What we target

YakForms aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Colour is generated rather than chosen: the palette is derived by rule and every text and background pair is verified against the AA contrast threshold before it can ship, on both the light and dark themes. Status is always a shape and a word as well as a colour, never colour alone.

In the interface

  • Text scales with the browser's own font size; nothing is pinned to pixels.
  • One visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
  • Motion is reduced automatically when your system asks for it.
  • Light and dark themes, both contrast-verified.

Known gaps

We have not yet commissioned an independent accessibility audit of the console, and this page will name the date and the auditor when we have. The embedded document viewer renders customer PDFs, whose own accessibility is a property of those files — which is what the validation rules are for.

Report a barrier

If something here is hard or impossible to use, email support@yakware.com and say what you were trying to do. We treat these as defects, not feedback.
